How did this idea come about?
It has been my dream to set up an outdoor Doggy Daycare in the countryside, since I started dog walking in 2016. I have envisioned a safe, secure, fun space for my furry friends to enjoy. Away from the hustle and bustle of busy London.
The Daycare will be 40 minutes drive from our base in North West London, collecting the pooches along the route to the daycare site and then dropping them home both tired and content. It is set on a farm, with green Meadows everywhere you look.
The space has 6 ft fencing and is a generous 2.5 acres, which will give the dogs plenty of space for running and playing.
There is a small shelter, a Doggy climbing apparatus and a water supply.
Animals are one of my greatest passions in life and I want the dogs to have a safe and fun space to run around in.
How will it work?
The dogs will be grouped on compatibility, as they always have been on my London Park Walks over the years,
It's important that all of the dogs are comfortable and happy in this kind of environment, as they will be spending the day together, not only with humans, but with each other. If you are not sure if Daycare is suitable for your dog, send us a message and we can discuss their needs on an individual level. (Doggy daycare isn't suited for every dog) All of the dogs, that come on site will have had a meet and greet and then have to pass a trial day, where their suitability will be assessed.
Designed for dogs in the Big City
This particular idea has the London pooches at the heart of it. Despite many dog parents having been home during the pandemic, it has still been very beneficial for the dogs to get out on walks with their friends and spend time with their favourite dog walkers.
The Daycare will be a place that they can experience countryside days out, away from the hustle and bustle of the city. With their canine friends and plenty of enrichment, In a large, safe gated space. Without the worry of other people or unknown dogs approaching us at any time. (Stress free environment)
Until this point we have kept our carbon footprint down to a minimum, whilst walking, only having used a car for a few short months since 2016. We always use Compostable Poop bags and try our best, to avoid plastic packaged dog treats.
The Doggy Daycare will be opening very soon.
